Performance

WriteRoom 4 is built on a new text engine, made to stay fast. Typing is instant at any document size.¹

Performance Features

Because the engine is fast, new features are possible:

• Heading overviews zoom out to every heading at once
• Folding and sticky headings follow your structure from top to bottom
• Minimap scroller shows a scrolling preview of your document
• GPU effects add DEC Terminal's phosphor glow and curved glass

If Something Is Slow

I want to know. Please post in the Support Forum with a description of the problem and how I can reproduce it.

¹ OK, that was a lie, but put a thousand copies of Moby-Dick in one document, more than a gigabyte of text, and typing is still instant.
